Job Description

As an Assembler, you work in a fast-paced production environment where you gather materials from a material list, follow blueprints and assembly drawings, and build high-quality products. You handle picking and packing supplies, perform basic repair operations, and conduct tests and inspections to ensure products meet quality standards. You rotate through multiple stations on the assembly line, so your work stays varied throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Work from material lists to accurately gather and stage the correct components and supplies for each order.
• Read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings to assemble products according to specifications.
• Retrieve products from the conveyor belt and insert or adjust the internal lining within each product.
• Assemble handles, pins, and other components and securely install them on the product.
• Insert foam into products, package finished items, and prepare them for shipment.
• Pick and pack supplies and components as needed to support ongoing production.
• Perform basic repair operations on products as required to meet quality standards.
• Conduct tests and inspections on assembled products to verify functionality and quality.
• Rotate between multiple sections of the assembly line to support production needs and reduce repetitive tasks.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively while following all safety procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions accurately to complete daily tasks and meet production goals.
• Collaborate with team members and work cooperatively in a shared production environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-structured work area throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

• Experience using hand tools in a production or similar environment.
• Experience using power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work successfully in a collaborative, team-based setting.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced assembly environment with rotating tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Trade school education or technical training.
• Automotive experience or related mechanical experience
• Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Blueprint reading skills, including the ability to interpret assembly drawings.
• Interest in learning multiple stations and cross-training across departments.

Work Environment

You work in a clean, organized, and well-lit production facility designed to support safe and efficient assembly work. The environment includes clearly defined assembly lines where you rotate through different stations, handling tasks such as lining insertion, handle and pin assembly, foam insertion, packaging, and shipment preparation. You regularly use hand and power tools and follow established safety and quality procedures. Multiple shifts are available to fit different schedules, including a first shift (approximately 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.), second shift (approximately 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.), and third shift (approximately 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.), with similar hours across different assembly areas. The facility offers an on-site gym for employee use and supports cross-training and movement between departments, creating a dynamic and engaging workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deerfield, MA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.20/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Deerfield,MA.
