Job Summary
A Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing patient care for individuals with complex medical needs, including conditions such as CHF, COVID pneumonia, and arrhythmias, within a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Job Details

• Position Description: This role entails working on a 26-bed step-down unit with a patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5, managing conditions including CHF, COVID pneumonia, atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response, and other cardiac and respiratory issues. Responsibilities include monitoring patient status via central tele monitor tech, administering medication (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, renal dopamine, nitro), and taking charge as needed.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois RN license or proof of application initiation, valid BLS (American Heart Association), and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications, minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, and active IL license or application process status.
• Schedule: Night shifts 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/31/2026 and ending on 11/30/2026.
• Additional Information: Travel nurses are expected to float within their assigned unit with a ratio of 1:5, and will receive a one-shift hospital orientation plus two shifts of unit orientation, including one day and one night shift. The hospital operates 24/7 with pharmacy support.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit the last four digits of their SSN, confirm they understand the drug-free campus policy, and have either an active IL license or proof of initiation of application.
