Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Conroe, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 7, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 1 year of ED experience, TX or compact RN license, and TNCC certification.Details\n \n Work in a 30-bed Emergency Department with 8 hall beds\n Unit staffed with approximately 77 team members including RNs, Paramedics, LVNs, and a Charge Nurse\n Patient ratio of 1:4\n Day shift and night shift 12-hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM\n Uses Baxter IV pumps, GE Monitors, Ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont Rapid Infusers, and portable EKG machines\n Documents in Meditech EMR\n Performs procedures including NIH stroke assessments, IV/blood draws, moderate sedation, TNK administration, and cardiac monitoring\n Every other weekend rotation required\n No floating required\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required\n Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC\n ENPC certification preferred\n US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)\n One professional reference required\n No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months\n Additional Information\n \n Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population requiring compassion, empathy, and strong teamwork skills\n Royal blue scrubs required per unit dress code\n Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted\n First-time travelers may be considered for this role\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-747584.
