Compliance Specialist – Housing / Property ManagementContract Opportunity | East Metro Twin Cities, MN | Fully OnsiteA well-established property management organization is seeking an experienced Compliance Tax Credit Specialist to support its affordable housing portfolio.This role will focus on clearing a backlog of annual recertifications and ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations.This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional who is available immediately and can hit the ground running with minimal training.$30 – $40/hour (Compensation may be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.)ScheduleMonday through Friday8:30 AM to 5:00 PMNo overtime anticipatedFully onsiteResponsibilitiesProcess annual resident recertificationsReview and complete compliance files and documentationEnsure adherence to HUD, Section 8, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program requirementsVerify income, assets, and eligibility documentationMaintain accurate resident records and compliance filesMeet with residents as needed to collect documentation and complete recertification requirementsAssist with resolving compliance-related backlogsRequired Qualifications2+ years of affordable housing compliance experienceExperience with annual recertificationsStrong working knowledge of:HUD regulationsSection 8 programsLow-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) complianceAbility to work independently and manage a high volume of filesPreferred QualificationsExperience using YardiAffordable housing property management experienceAssistant Property Manager or related industry backgroundIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing affordable housing compliance and recertification processes and can immediately contribute to reducing a significant compliance backlog. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working directly with residents and property teams.Location RequirementsThis position is located in the East Metro Twin Cities area and requires daily onsite attendance. Candidates should be comfortable with the commute prior to applying.
