Supervisor will be responsible for leading all aspects of managing the production for the facility during assigned shift. The role is a key driver for Safety, Quality and On Time Delivery. Perform the daily operations of plant to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge.Essential Responsibilities:Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologiesOversight and management of front-line manufacturing employeesManages hourly population of employeesResponsible for leading and managing the activities within the manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, production and cost goalsResponsible for the planning, coordination and direction of production operations to ensure maximum output and qualityMay be responsible for multiple product linesContributes to select, hire and train personnel where applicableEnsures that regulatory quality system requirements are met in the area.Drives compliance to area standards including policies and proceduresAnalyzes and diagnoses machine and tooling problems and takes corrective measures to minimize downtime and interruption of schedulesHandles special projects, as assigned and guidedDevelop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizationDeliver products as part of a teamWork on cross functional teamsQualificationsQualifications/Requirements:High School Diploma / GEDMinimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing including minimum 2 years of experience in a Supervisor role, Leadership role, Facilitator, Quality Facilitator etcMinimum 1-year experience in manufacturingDesired Characteristics:BS degree in engineering from accredited college or universityStrong oral and written communication skillStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to influence others and lead small teamsLead initiatives of moderate scope and impactAbility to coordinate several projects simultaneouslyEffective problem identification and solution skillsProven analytical and organizational abilityMinimum 3 years of experience in ManufacturingExperience with Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of LEAN six sigmaAdditional InformationAt Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
