About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:30-17:00 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: None, Certification a Plus Must-Have: Must have experience in Orthopedic Major Joint, General Surgery, Urology (Open & Cysto), Minor Vascular. Advanced skills in Orthopedic procedures are essential. Description: The facility features 13 operating rooms in the main operating area. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:1. Staffing includes RNs, surgical techs, support staff, and board runners. Equipment utilized includes Stryker Ortho Systems, Stryker Lap Towers, Div Xi Robots, Mako Navigation, and Omni Navigation. The documentation system in use is Meditech. Call shifts of 4-5 per 4 weeks are required, along with weekend rotation. There is no set schedule, but it is reasonable. If the operating rooms are shut down, nurses are required to float to assist in other areas, prioritizing internal staff. Previous orthopedic experience is necessary. Procedures performed include all surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eye surgeries. Scrubs are provided by the facility. Teamwork is emphasized, and each team member is valued.
