Compliance Officer

Title/Role: FL-DBPR – CTMH Compliance Officer Worksite Address: 325 W. Gaines St. Tallahassee, Florida 32309 CAI Contract Manager (CAI Use Only): Sherry Mellow Engagement Type: Contract Job Short Description The Compliance Officer will support the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes (CTMH) division by reviewing and analyzing complaints, communicating with complainants, interpreting applicable Florida statutes, and documenting case activities. Job Complete Description This is an approximately 11-week assignment requiring strong communication, organization, customer service, and complaint-analysis skills. Experience with Versa and OnBase is highly desirable. Pay Rate $38.14/hr Working Hours Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Roles and Responsibilities Contact constituents and complainants to discuss details and clarify information related to submitted complaints. Review applicable Florida statutes and compare statutory requirements with complaint information. Analyze complaints to determine relevant issues and applicable Division jurisdiction. Explain the Division's jurisdiction and case status to complainants in a professional manner. Inform complainants when a case is being closed and communicate the applicable reason. Provide appropriate resources, information, or referrals when necessary. Prepare written correspondence for complainants after receiving supervisor approval. Close cases by entering appropriate codes, activities, and statutes in the Versa system. Record and maintain case-related actions and information in the OnBase system. Maintain professional and courteous communication when interacting with members of the public. Complete assigned responsibilities within the established project timeline. Experience Previous professional experience working directly with the public. Experience handling and analyzing complaints. Experience communicating with the public in a professional work environment. Experience reviewing information and determining relevant issues. Experience interpreting or working with Florida State statutes is required. Experience using Versa is highly desired. Experience using the OnBase system is highly desired.
