Manufacturing Engineer | Grand Rapids, MI

Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Grand Rapids that are seeking Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and equipment to improve efficiency and quality.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and control plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, Quality, Production) to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement.
• Perform time studies and capacity planning to optimize resource utilization and production schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software for fixture and tool design.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in manufacturing operations.
• Strong data analysis skills, including experience with statistical process control (SPC) and Minitab.
• Project management experience, particularly in leading cross-functional teams.
