Terradata Platform Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology industry, is seeking a Terradata Platform Engineer to join their team. As a Terradata Platform Engineer, you will be part of the Data Engineering Department supporting multiple business lines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong collaboration skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Terradata Platform Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC (In-person role; Dallas and Minneapolis are also acceptable options) What's the Job? Supporting a platform with approximately 300 applications across various lines of business. Partnering with application teams to ensure database and platform changes adhere to organizational standards. Consulting on complex initiatives with broad impact and large‑scale planning for Database Engineering. Reviewing and analyzing complex, multi-faceted, and long-term database engineering challenges. Contributing to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. What's Needed? 5+ years of experience in Database Engineering or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, or education. Extensive experience with Teradata platforms — this is the top priority. Proficiency in Python for automation tasks. Experience with code storage environments such as Git-based repositories. Strong SQL skills and a background in data architecture. Platform administration experience is essential. Familiarity with open table formats and object storage environments. What's in it for me?
