Director of Financial Reporting

Great opportunity to step into a Head of Consolidations role with a global, publicly traded consumer goods company in New York City. This is a hybrid position, with onsite days required Tuesday and Thursday. You'll be hands‑on while overseeing a team of 4-5 Managers and Senior Accountants. Responsibilities: Lead the monthly global financial consolidation process and review consolidated statements, including analyzing results and resolving discrepancies or executive‑level questions. Partner with local and divisional finance teams to drive more efficient processes. Oversee the quarterly analytical review of consolidated results, including streamlining how data is collected. Collaborate with local finance teams and external auditors to identify key drivers behind financial fluctuations. Support Audit Committee communications, helping explain quarterly business results. Maintain documentation and compliance for SOX controls tied to quarterly public filings. Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements. Handle ad‑hoc requests from senior leadership in a timely manner. Get involved in special projects sponsored by the department. Support your own growth and your team's, through training, performance reviews, and related development.
