Supporting Students in Milwaukee-Area School Setting

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a Milwaukee-area school setting. This contract position offers the chance to work 1:1 with a student, fostering a meaningful connection while making a positive impact in the educational environment. Youll be assigned to one school and enjoy a weekday schedule most sites begin at 7:30am or 8:00am totaling 37.5 hours per week from September through mid-June (with orientation commencing August 25).

What Were Looking For:

• Active Wisconsin RN or LPN license
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Experience working as an RN or LPN in the last two years or recent completion of a refresher course
• At least one year of pediatric nursing experience is preferred
• Confident providing care to students requiring ventilator/tracheostomy support (certification or demonstrated comfort required)
• Physically capable of handling job demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Valid Wisconsin drivers license

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to an assigned student for the full academic year
• Administer medications, monitor medical equipment, and provide support for ventilator/tracheostomy needs as required
• Respond promptly and compassionately to health emergencies and manage chronic conditions within the school setting
• Maintain clear, ongoing communication with families, school staff, and relevant healthcare providers
• Accurately document daily care and participate actively in the students educational and healthcare planning
