Shipping Coordinator

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our warehouse operations team. In this role, you will coordinate outbound shipments, communicate with freight carriers and customers, and ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time. What You'll Do

Schedule and coordinate all outbound shipments, including LTL, truckload, parcel, and customer pickups.
Manage the daily shipping schedule to meet customer delivery deadlines.
Work with freight carriers, logistics providers, warehouse personnel, and Customer Service to ensure timely deliveries.
Obtain competitive freight quotes and select the best shipping option based on cost and service.
Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, shipping orders, and related paperwork.
Complete online HAZMAT shipping documentation as required.
Track shipments and provide customers with shipment updates and tracking information.
Coordinate expedited orders and special shipments.
Monitor inventory during the shipping process and communicate shortages or discrepancies.
Process freight damage claims and maintain accurate records.
Assist truck drivers with shipping paperwork.
Maintain accurate shipping records using company systems.
Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and safe.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, or distribution.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn carrier shipping software.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with LTL, freight, and parcel shipping.
Experience preparing bills of lading and shipping documentation.
Knowledge of HAZMAT shipping procedures (training provided if necessary).
