SCHEDULING SPECIALIST

Job Details Job Location: SA Office - San Antonio, TX 78258 Position Type: Full Time Organizational Structure This position reports directly to the Control Room Manager. Position Summary Scheduling Specialist plans and schedules through a designated pipeline system. This position is involved in analyzing and adjusting shipping schedules as needed to minimize risks. Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining relationships with customers/shippers and various connecting carriers. Schedule and organize activities to designated pipeline and/or terminal systems. Identify and communicate commercial/operational opportunities while in an operational environment. Manages and maintains accurate inventory position daily / intramonth and communicates accordingly to ensure system remains balanced. Assist in reconciling invoices and delivery confirmations with shippers, distributors, and end users. Point of contact between departments regarding scheduling such as accounting, commercial, control room, and measurement. Communicate and verify all planned moves. Provides accurate and timely updates to traders. Establish and maintain industry relationships as they pertain to supply, transportation, and logistical issues. Subject to on-call coverage 24/7. Education and Experience Minimum 1 – 3 years of relevant experience. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree. Required Skills / Abilities Customer focused. Ability to speak, read, and understand English. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to work with others, take direction from supervisor(s).
