Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Smiles at Beauregard Square is seeking a friendly and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our growing team in Alexandria, VA. This is a full-time opportunity, and we are also open to part-time candidates who are the right fit. Whether you're an experienced hygienist or a new graduate ready to start your career, we'd love to meet you!

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, periodontal therapies, and preventive care treatments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and overall dental health
• Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
• Accurately document patient care and treatment recommendations
• Collaborate closely with the dentist and clinical team to ensure exceptional patient experiences
• Maintain infection control and sterilization standards in accordance with practice and regulatory guidelines
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

• Active or pending Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
• Experience with Dentrix, Dexis, and Microsoft is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect comfortably with patients
• Outgoing, patient-focused, and compassionate personality
• Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative practice

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
• Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
