About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state license in hand upon submission Certifications: BLS Preferred, will provide BLS training if not held Must-Have: General OR & Trauma experience preferred Description: Please ensure the traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign the traveler to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract to take a position, the traveler accepts the above and will report as assigned by the immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs. Travelers should not apply for a role if they are not comfortable with the above. Shifts are Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Weekends: 1 weekend per 6 weeks. Call: Possible call with varying shifts, including weekend shifts (to be discussed during interview). Holiday coverage: As needed. Preferred experience includes charting systems. Skills required include a range of surgical and nursing procedures. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census and specific patient diagnoses are not specified. Special equipment and unit details are not mentioned.
