CNC Machine Technician

Permanent position for a CNC Machinist Setup Technician. Setup CNC machines in a productive, high quality manner. Set up to obtain acceptable first piece inspections for production of parts for growing industrial gas equipment manufacturer. Create and edit CNC machine programs. Lay out all tooling and gages at CNC machine to be setup. Return previous job program from CNC machine and download new job program to CNC machine. Installs tooling into the CNC machine turret tool positions and updates program with proper tool positions. Inspect parts using the visual comparator, caliper, eye loop, appropriate gages, and instruments to ensure the machine is producing accurate, quality parts. Visual inspections of parts for burrs, chatters, irregularities, hexes, surface finish, etc., to ensure conformance to engineering print and first part inspection sample. Troubleshoot CNC machines as needed. Provide assistance and guidance to CNC Operators. Follow all company safety and environmental policies and procedures. Minimum 2 years of experience in setting up CNC machines with mechanical abilities to understand machine setups and read engineering drawings. Working knowledge and use of tools and measuring equipment. Basic math skills (measuring, use of calculator). Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, comparators, depth micrometer, surface finish tester. Ability to use eye loop for inspecting parts. Ability to carry out detailed and involved written and verbal instructions. Experience with Haas or Mori Seiki machines or Swiss lathes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
