Family Medicine Associate Program Director - Sampson Regional Medical CenterSampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine physician (MD or DO) to serve as Associate Program Director for our Family Medicine Residency Program. This role combines academic leadership, resident mentorship, and clinical practice in a supportive, community-focused, independent hospital environment.Position HighlightsTeaching/Preceptorship: ~80%Clinical Practice: ~20% (outpatient continuity clinic, 1 day/week)Inpatient Hospital Rotation: 1 week/month supervising Family Medicine inpatient serviceLeadership duties: resident mentorship, curriculum oversight, ACGME compliance, program developmentParticipate in recruitment, interviews, and resident selectionMaintain clinical practice consistent with ACGME guidelinesSupport & LeadershipCollaborate with Program Director and hospital leadershipMentor residents in clinical and academic settingsPromote resident well-being, professional growth, and compassionate careAccess to hospital specialties: General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care, and UrologyCandidate QualificationsBC/BE in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP)Core faculty experience requiredExperience in inpatient and outpatient careComfortable with obstetrics, joint injections, and dermatologic proceduresKnowledge of ACGME accreditation requirementsDemonstrated academic involvement: teaching, curriculum development, or researchStrong leadership, communication, and mentoring skillsPassion for community-based medicine and rural/underserved populationsCompensation & BenefitsHospital-employed physician leadership roleCompetitive salary with comprehensive benefitsSign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and potential loan repaymentMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insuranceRetirement investment opportunitiesGenerous PTO to support work-life balanceAbout the OrganizationSampson Regional Medical Center has served the region since 1950 and remains one of the few independent, community-based hospitals in North Carolina.
