Patient Services RepresentativeThe US Oncology Network/Texas Breast Specialists is looking for a Patient Services Representative to join our Breast Surgery team! This position will support the Texas Breast Specialists Georgetown location. The US Oncology Network is supported by McKesson Corporation focused on empowering a vibrant and sustainable community patient care delivery system to advance the science, technology, and quality of care.What does the Patient Services Representative do?The Patient Services Representative is responsible for supporting daily front office operations for Texas Breast Specialists. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients and helps ensure a smooth, professional, and positive experience throughout the scheduling, check-in, and check-out process. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner.Check patients in and out for appointments while ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information is collected and updated.Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments according to office procedures.Verify insurance information and ensure required documentation is completed prior to appointments when applicable.Schedule follow-up appointments, imaging, procedures, referrals, and other patient care needs as directed.Coordinate outside imaging, procedures, referrals, and records requests to support continuity of care.Reschedule patient appointments as needed and communicate changes clearly and professionally.Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and route calls or messages to the appropriate team members.Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA and organizational compliance standards.Support providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members with daily front office needs.Maintain organized work areas and ensure patient-related documentation is handled accurately and timely.QualificationsThe ideal candidate for the Patient Services Representative will have the following background and experience:Level 1High School Diploma or equivalent required.This position is entry level and requires 0-3 years of medical business office experience.Medical office scheduling experience preferred.Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements)Minimum 3 to 5 years medical business office experience.Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements)Minimum five years medical business office experience.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
