Job Description

Spring Lake Park Schools is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to work with students district wide and their families, servicing students in General and Special Education settings within Centerview Elementary School, Early Childhood through 4th grade students. The ideal candidate will provide excellent instruction and case management skills to students with speech/language and other types of disabilities. This includes providing direct service in articulation, stuttering, and language under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), developing lesson plans for providing service, preparing progress reports and day-to-day documentation for student service, drafting present levels of performance for review by SLP, drafting skill ideas to work on for review by SLP, preparing materials and making visuals for speech services provided to students for SLP and SLPA as needed, assisting with transitioning skills into general ed, and assisting with interventions set up by SLP.

Qualifications

Necessary qualifications include an AAS Degree, or BS in Speech and Language Hearing Sciences with additional transcript credits and hours obtained within an SLPA program, license through the State of Minnesota (SLPA from the MN Department of Health), effective interpersonal and communication skills, and maintaining confidentiality/data privacy.

Wage + Benefits

Group Healthcare Specialists Position Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Rate of Pay $29.75/hr, +$1.00/hr differential if individual holds a BA. Benefits include medical, dental, sick leave, 403(b), life, LTD, FSA.
