Manual MachinistDirect hire: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Manual Machinist to join a dynamic team. Responsible for performing duties in a safe manner and in accordance with quality expectations. Must keep work area clean and organized. Responsible for operating manual machine tools to produce precision metal parts. Produces small batches or large quantities of metal parts. Ensure products meet precise specifications. Location: Morgantown, PA. Pay Range: $30hr - $35hr (weekly paid) Schedule: M - F, 6a - 2:30pm, Hours may change as business needs change (Adjusted to 5:30am - 2pm) +OT Benefits: Medical, dental, vision (1st of month after initial 60 days), 9 paid holidays and birthday paid. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Responsibilities:Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal partsReview electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a jobCalculate where to cut or boreShape steel, aluminum, titanium, plastic, silicon and other materialsDetermine how fast or slow workpiece is fed into machineDetermine how much material to removeSelect tools and materials for the jobPlan the sequence of cutting and finishing operationsMark the workpiece to show where cuts should be madePosition workpiece on the drill press, lathe, or milling machineMonitor and control feed rate and speedEnsure workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooledRegulate temperature of workpieceDetect problems by listening for specific soundsAdjust cutting speed to compensate for harmonic vibrationsMonitor the accuracy of cutsReplace dull cutting toolsCheck accuracy of work against blueprints and specificationsProduce large quantities of partsDetermine how automated equipment will cut a partDetermine cutting pathConcert path, speed, and feed information into set of instructions for machine tool.Use manual and computer-controlled machineryWrite basic programsModify programs in response to problemsCompetencies:Communication ProficiencyOrganizational SkillsTime ManagementTechnical CapacityCustomer/Client FocusPPE: All provided, except for safety boots ($100 per year reimbursement on boots, and $100 toward safety glasses) INDH
