Senior Backend Engineer
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with strong Java expertise to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of building scalable, resilient, and high-performance backend systems. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, helping shape the future of our products and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Architect, design, and develop highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems using Java.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure system responsiveness and efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and resolving performance issues.
- Code Quality: Maintain and enforce code quality through reviews, automating tests, and mentorship.
- Continuous Integration and Deployment: Participate in CI/CD pipeline design and optimization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement features and improvements.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance to junior engineers, participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, and contribute to the technical vision and direction of the company.
- Innovation: Research and recommend new technologies or solutions that can enhance product quality and user experience.
- Documentation: Ensure proper documentation for codebase and architectural decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate).
- Experience with microservices architecture and API design.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools and practices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
