1st shift Brake Press and Laser Operator

A fabrication company in Columbia City is looking for experienced Brake Press and Laser Operators for both 1st and 2nd shift!

1st shift Brake Press and Laser Operator Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $21.00 to $24.00 / hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift ( Monday through Thursday from 05:30am to 04:00pm )
  • Set up and operate brake press or laser cutting equipment
  • Load and unload materials into machines 
  • Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and specifications
  • Use measuring tools to verify part dimensions
  • Perform machine adjustments and changeovers as needed
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
  • Troubleshoot basic machine and production issues
  • Handle and stage metal materials throughout production

1st shift Brake Press and Laser Operator Qualifications:

  • Previous Brake Press or Laser Operator experience required 
  • Manufacturing/fabrication experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and measurements
  • Experience using calipers, tape measures, or other measuring tools
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable making machine adjustments 
  • Dependable with a good work history and attendance
  • Must be available for Friday overtime when required
