Human Resources Specialist

Position Overview The Wage and Compensation Specialist provides administrative support and reports to Human Resources Management. The role involves performing a variety of human resource support duties including maintenance of employee files and providing customer service to internal and external clients. Job Responsibilities Work collaboratively with CrossCountry Mortgage leadership and the management team to provide effective HR processes and support. Support HR functions, including pre‑employment screenings, generating offer letters, onboarding and new hire orientation. Partner with Wage & Compensation in drafting compensation contracts and following up for completion. Serve as contact for employees and managers to answer inquiries about wage and compensation information. Answer questions regarding policies/procedures and other general questions related to wage and compensation processes. Actively champion and promote safety‑related policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain a confidential organized filing system for employee files, correspondence, policies, standards, regulations, and employment applications. Ensure new hires complete all tasks in Workday and sign all necessary policies. Maintain new hire data within Workday (HRIS) and provide support for employee information updates and changes. Conduct audits of HR programs and update them per regulations and compliance. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred. 1‑3 years of experience in human resources. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding of methods, practices, terminology, and procedures used in human resources. Knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to human resources administration. Ability to work confidentially with discretion. Ability to read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet schedules and deadlines. Strong analytical skills for compiling data for correspondence or reports. Skill in determining work priorities. Excellent communication skills.
