1st Shift Maintenance Technician (Injection Molding)

Overview:




In this role, you require a broad range of maintenance skills encompassing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general facility maintenance functions. You must be highly self-sufficient, capable of working independently with limited supervision, and able to quickly learn and troubleshoot new equipment and systems. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with external vendors and contractors, managing maintenance inventories, and responding to urgent maintenance needs throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and other related issues.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to schedule specialized repairs & maintenance activities.
  • Manage inventory levels of maintenance supplies, spare parts, consumable items, and shop materials to ensure adequate stock and minimize downtime.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance requests to minimize production interruptions.
  • Install, modify, and repair equipment, machinery, and facility systems as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory documentation, and work order completion records.
  • Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and facility improvement projects.
  • Support safety initiatives by ensuring equipment and facility systems operate in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Work independently to prioritize maintenance activities, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of maintenance experience in the injection molding manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency working with injection molding machines, temperature control units (oil and water), material drying equipment, and automation equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and perform with limited supervision.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, equipment documentation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
