Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Schedule: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and will guide patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining professional nursing care standards in the Emergency Department. The RN is accountable for the care provided to patients in this high-pressure setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively.
• Communicate changes in the patient's clinical conditions to physicians.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross).
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross).
• Current PALS (AHA or Red Cross).
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; Emergency Room experience preferred.
• Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate.
• COVID vaccination preferred.
