About the Position

Job Title

RN - Medical Surgical Neuro

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend | Every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Neuro unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and assess neurological patients, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Float to an alternate campus location as needed to support staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact state eligibility
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in a Medical Surgical or Neuro nursing setting
• Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday
• Willingness and ability to float to an alternate campus as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Experience with neurological patient populations in an acute care environment
