Material Handler LeadThe Material Handler Lead is responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse, material management, and inventory control reporting to the Materials Manager. This role will assist the warehouse in cycle counting, pulling parts for orders, shipping, receiving, unloading trucks and checking in/shelving merchandise. It is crucial to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure all information is reported to operations in a timely manner.Essential Responsibilities:Daily communication with managerEngage team with daily meetings to ensure teamwork and workflow for the dayPlanning, implementing, and monitoring activities related to material management and inventory controlOverseeing daily cycle counting procedures to ensure inventory accuracyDriving continuous improvement projects, analyzing inventory variances, researching root causes, and formulating recommendations to improve inventory accuracyDeveloping and implementing inventory control performance metricsResearching and reconciling inventory transaction errorsDeveloping and implementing policies and procedures as they pertain to warehouse operationsReturn goods processingInbound receiving and product put awayTruck and small package shipments. Includes filling bill of ladings and scheduling truck pickups. Also includes processing small package shipments through FedEx, Speedee, and UPS Worldship programsOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED3+ years of experience in a warehouse/shop environmentMust have extensive functional knowledge of inventory control and warehousing proceduresBe collaborative, results driven, detail-oriented and organizedDemonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal and communication skillsCapacity to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system preferred but not requiredWork Environment:The majority of the time will be inside conditions with protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. Some work is achieved near open bays with no control over weather conditions.There are periodic high noise levels and vibration associated with this job. Sources include: engine noise, air compressors, air powered equipment, and other shop noises.There are potential of physical hazards in which there is danger to life, health, or bodily injury, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving equipment, heavy parts, electrical shock, compressed air and exposure to chemicals.Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids which may be representative, but not all inclusive, of those commonly associated with this type of work. Air power tools, electric drill, drill press, crimping machines, grinders (both hand and bench), wrenches, heat guns, lathe, torches, welders, a variety of hand tools, mills, and electric cords.Physical Requirements:Must be able to exert up to 70 lbs. of force occasionally (5 times per day) and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently (50 times per day) and up to 25 lbs. of force on a regular basis through the day, depending on work related circumstances.Must be able to lift objects from floor to above shoulder level.
