Phlebotomist IIPride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Lake Worth, TX. Schedule: 745am-445pm Mon-Fri Location: Lake Worth, TX Job Type: local contract Contract Length: 2.5 months + Contract to Possible Pay Range: $18 to $22.69/hr *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Key Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections using straight and butterfly needles.Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to established procedures.Verify patient information, physician orders, requisitions, and specimen labels for accuracy.Explain blood draw and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.Maintain specimen integrity by following proper storage, temperature, transportation, and handling protocols.Perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, recordkeeping, and patient information updates.Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and complete required annual department training.Answer telephone inquiries and provide laboratory results as appropriate.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.1-3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.Keyboard/data entry experience.Pride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment Opportunity Pride-Health is an equal opportunity employer.
