Summary of Essential Duties: Leadership & Coordination: Oversees shift operations, assigns duties, and motivates staff to maintain a structured and nurturing environment. Youth Engagement: Works directly with youth facing behavioral health challenges, providing trauma-informed and strength-based support. Skill Building: Designs and leads life skills and educational activities tailored to each youth’s needs and strengths. Assessment & Personalization: Evaluates youth in daily functioning to customize services. Transportation & Mentorship: Provides transport, reinforces social skills, and serves as a mentor and on-call support when needed. Qualifications: Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, or Counseling. Minimum of 2 years working directly with youth in an out-of-home treatment setting. Some program elements may require 3–5 years of experience. Other requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older. Possess a valid driver's license. Physical & Drug Screening, Criminal Record History, FBI, and Child Abuse History Clearances. In addition, the ideal Youth Support Shift Lead: Has strong communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members. Knowledge and understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by these individuals. Will be able to assist with daily living activities and implement behavior management strategies.
