Controller Location: Acequia/Rupert, Idaho (On-site) Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 DOE Join Our Growing Team We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations and provide strategic financial oversight for our growing organization. As the Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, improve internal controls, and provide meaningful financial insights that help drive informed business decisions. What You'll Do Lead and manage all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting . Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk. Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) . Create, update, and distribute financial and managerial reports to company leadership. Monitor budgets, analyze budget-to-actual performance, and communicate significant variances to management. Provide financial analysis and recommendations related to capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations. Coordinate annual audits and collaborate with external auditors by providing required financial documentation. Prepare and file quarterly and annual financial reports with appropriate government agencies. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal financial regulations. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, operational efficiency, and financial reporting. Perform additional accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned. Required Strong understanding of debits and credits , revenue recognition , and accrual versus cash accounting . Experience overseeing full-cycle accounting operations. Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with accounting software, tax preparation software, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation. Experience managing accounting teams and financial reporting in a growing organization. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Ability to travel as needed.
