Shipping Clerk

Job Title

Plan loads to customers based on order quantities, maximizing trailer utilization and minimizing costs.

Primary Responsibilities

Set up delivery appointments for loads planned

Set up customer pick ups

Cut bills for all loads

Communicate with logistics all outbound loads and delivery times

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

Able to speak, read, comprehend and write legibly in English

Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy

Knowledge of quality standards – both ISO and QS

Qualified Shipping Forklift Operator, one year experience as a Forklift Operator preferred

Microsoft Office proficiency preferred

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.

The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit.

Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Work space is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30 degrees – 110 degrees Fahrenheit).
