Deltek Director, Industry Spec Svcs

Job Summary:The ISS Deltek Practice Director is responsible for maintaining client relationships, providing support in the areas of Deltek Costpoint consulting, ancillary systems & integrations, and overseeing assigned staff ranging from Associates to Senior Managers. This position will work to implement Deltek and its suite of products for clients in heavily regulated industries such as government contracting and non-profit.Job Duties:Architects & leads implementations for Deltek Costpoint and other core offeringsManages various technology integrations through project management, and when required, with specific Deltek knowledgeUsing the BDO framework, assumes responsibility for projects’ phases and works directly with clients to accomplish project objectivesProject management of implementation engagement(s), independently and collaboratively, for core Deltek offeringsInterprets corporate & entity-level (Federal, non-profit, etc.) compliance as it relates to Deltek & other technologyReviews and develops policies and procedures related to accounting, contracts, and pricing for the client initiatives to secure new business, including but not limited to participating in Business Development meetings, developing relationships with clients and networking activitiesDemonstrates initiative to grow the practice through client expansion and process improvement(s)Other duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Serves as a member of the consulting group’s management teamSupervises, develops, and trains staff Reviews and evaluates work prepared by staffTrains staff on how to use current software tools and Industry Specialty Services methodologySchedules and supervises workload of assigned staffProvides verbal and written performance feedback to assigned staffActs as a Career Advisor to staff ranging from Associates to Senior ManagersQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field; requiredAdvanced degree, preferredExperience:Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience including accounting & system-focused knowledge; requiredFamiliarly with ERP & technology implementation best practices; requiredPrior experience with Government contracting, nonprofit, and other highly regulated industries; preferred and highly valuedHistory of managing people, projects, and process improvement; requiredLicense/Certifications:CPA, CMA, PMP, others; preferredDeltek suite or other technology certifications; preferred and highly valuedSoftware:Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, planning tools, and specifically advanced knowledge of excel and/or data workbooksDeltek Costpoint; requiredOther Deltek ERP & PSA products; preferredLanguage:N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business / report writingStrong analytical and basic research skills Solid organizational skills especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsAbility to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environmentProven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously Familiarity with FAR, CAS, and GSA schedulesAbility to follow and apply specific rules and regulationsAbility to work with minimal supervision Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $175,000 - $240,000Maryland Range: $175,000 - $240,000NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $175,000 - $240,000At BDO, how we show up matters.
