Manufacturing Engineer

Overview Job summary: Our client, a leader in the manufacturing of health technology, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in the Ontario, CA area. Key qualifications include five years of experience in Cost Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Process Optimization, or equivalent. A Bachelor\'s degree or vocational education in Manufacturing Engineering or a relevant field is required. Location: Ontario, California Job type: Contract Salary: $39 - 41 per hour Work hours: 8am to 4pm Education: Bachelors Responsibilities Product Launch & Lifecycle Management: Acts as the primary lead for transitioning subprojects from design to manufacturing (PDLM/LCM), managing design changes and ensuring seamless integration of new products into production. Process Setup & Quality Control: Develops comprehensive quality plans and work instructions while ensuring strict adherence to safety, regulatory, legal, and environmental standards. Equipment & Capex Management: Oversees the procurement, installation, and optimization of manufacturing equipment, managing recurring capital expenditure (Capex) investments to improve productivity. Production Support & Optimization: Supports the factory ramp-up phase and applies Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline processes, minimize waste, and resolve technical challenges of medium complexity. Stakeholder Alignment: Serves as the "factory voice" by providing manufacturing requirements during design phases and ensuring all operational standards are met before final project sign-off.
