Position: Server – Upscale Korean BBQ

Location: Ktown, Manhattan

Types: Full-Time / Part-Time

Pay: $17/hr + tips

Baekjeong NYC is making its highly anticipated return to Midtown/Koreatown in 2026 as a brand-new, multi-level, high-energy dining and cocktail destination! Building on our legendary reputation for USDA Prime beef, signature short rib, daily house-made banchan, and iconic grill-side corn cheese, this flagship location merges traditional table-side grilling with an elevated bar program to redefine modern Korean BBQ.

To bring this vision to life, we are looking for experienced servers and runners to join our family. If you thrive in a high-volume environment and are passionate about delivering sincere, guided service that creates memorable dining experiences, we want you on our team as we set the new standard for authentic Korean hospitality.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, explain the premium Korean BBQ dining experience, and guide menu selections with expert product knowledge.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and deliver them promptly, maintaining an upscale service pace.
• Perform tableside grilling with precision, ensuring proper doneness and presentation for high-quality cuts of meat.
• Maintain safety by monitoring grills, preventing hazards, and educating guests on safe grill use.
• Ensure a clean and organized table setup throughout service, adhering to fine-dining standards.
• Upsell featured dishes, premium beverages, and seasonal items to enhance the guest experience.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional service.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a full-service restaurant (Korean BBQ experience strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with Korean cuisine and grilling techniques (specialized training provided).
• Strong communication, multitasking, and high-end guest engagement skills.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented, and customer-focused with a professional appearance.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
• All servers are required to complete an eight-week paid training program, during which they will focus on mastering supportive roles and building a strong foundation of skills. Upon successful completion, they will transition into full-time server responsibilities.
• Asian restaurants experience a plus.
• Multi-lingual; fluent, conversational a plus (Korean, Chinese, Thai, & Japanese).
