Store Manager$85,000- $135,000 (Incentives Included)DAY'S JEWELERSThe Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining guest services, oversees and is accountable for the operation of a store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, human resources management, and managing operating costs.Objectives:Ensure that the store reaches profitability target.Achieve monthly store sales target.Essential Functions:Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.Achieve Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals monthly.Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.Control shrink, expenses and payroll.Monitor appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing, and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.Responsible for all store security issues including the store alarm system monitoring, arming, and maintenance.Maintain a clean, neat store, including exterior, at all times.Comparison shop and report results; share information with director and make appropriate price adjustments.Review department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives.Be an active member of a community civic group and/or a jewelry related organization.Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.Recruit, Interview, and hire employees according to Hiring Procedures.Continually evaluate, react to, and document performance issues and actively recruit management candidates.Train and develop store management in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel.Perform monthly Performance Reviews for each Sales Associate, counsel each Sales Associate on improvement strategies, and document the review.Perform, at least annually, employee Performance Evaluations with each employee under your supervision and provide documentation of the evaluation.Competences:Inspiring Leadership – Motivates and energizes the team through passion, commitment, and a positive example, fostering pride, engagement, and a shared drive for excellence.Financial Management – Understands and applies financial metrics, sales goals, and expense controls to support profitable store operations.Ethical Conduct – Consistently demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions, safeguarding trust with clients, colleagues, and the company.Customer-Centric Mindset – Champions exceptional service standards and ensures a consistent luxury experience.Communication – Communicates with clarity and impact, actively listening and adapting messaging to build alignment and positive relationships.Conflict Resolution – Addresses client and team concerns with professionalism, empathy, and fairness, resolving issues quickly to maintain trust and positive relationships.Emotional Intelligence – Demonstrates empathy, rapport-building, and confidence.Performance Management – Conducts annual performance reviews and provides ongoing monthly coaching and feedback to support employee development, recognize achievements, and drive accountability for results.Decision-Making & Delegation – Empowers team members by delegating responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability for outcomes, making informed and decisive choices that drive store performance and long-term success.Ownership Mindset- Acts with an ownership mindset, making decisions that protect resources, strengthen company performance, and uphold long-term organizational health and success.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has direct supervision responsibilities.Work Environment:This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and items available for purchase in inventory.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position, and required hours of work and days are a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. This position regularly requires long hours, nights, and frequent weekend work.Travel:Some travel is required. Examples: Managers Meetings, training seminars, company events.Required Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED.At least 5 years of experience in retail store.At least 2 years in supervisory or lead role.Preferred Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in a Business related field of study.Experience specifically managing a staff of retail workers.Jewelry Certification trained; GIA, JA, DCA, etc.AAP/EEO Statement:H.
