Patient Care Technician - Full Time - Clinical Decision Unit

Hours of Work : 1836-0715 36hrs/week Days Of Week : Monday-Friday; alternating weekends Work Shift : Job Purpose The Patient Care Technician under the direction of the professional staff, assists with patient care to provide support to the patient, nursing unit and professional staff. Job Requirements Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility Or Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program Or Certified Medical Assistant program Or Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program Or Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman Or Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S Or EMT Certification/Paramedic License Licenses and/or Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Required Methodist Southwest Medical Center, previously known as Methodist Charlton Medical Center, is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, and Glen Heights in southwestern Dallas County.
