Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacy located in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to manage daily operations in a busy and fast-paced environment. This role offers competitive salary compensation and the opportunity to work with an experienced team in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities:

Verify prescription accuracy and ensure compliance with all regulations
Counsel patients on medication usage and address their questions
Oversee pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians
Utilize PioneerRx system to process and manage prescriptions
Maintain adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws
Deliver excellent customer service to patients and colleagues
Provide coverage on Saturdays, approximately 1 to 2 times per month

Qualifications:

Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
Recent retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred
Experience using PioneerRx system is a plus
Ability to thrive in a high-volume pharmacy environment
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively
Flexibility to cover scheduled Saturdays

Location: Mount Sterling, Kentucky

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
Saturday coverage 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 1 to 2 times per month

This is a contract to hire opportunity in a retail pharmacy serving approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly, supported by a skilled team including 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians on weekdays, and 1 pharmacist with 3-4 technicians on Saturdays.
