Job Title

Registered Nurse – NICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 or 26 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients in an intensive care unit setting during night shift hours
• Perform clinical assessments and interventions in accordance with NICU standards of practice
• Utilize infant-driven feeding protocols, including Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Document patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Adhere to scheduling requirements including weekend rotations and holiday coverage as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Virginia RN license (must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be in hand at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may be pending at time of submission)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required with submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
• Familiarity with infant-driven feeding protocols and neonatal assessment techniques
