Job Details Updated: June 9, 2026 Location: Atlanta, GA, United States Job ID: 16195-OTHLOC-CMFvYfwE Responsibilities The Senior MSL is a field-based, scientific, and clinical expert who strategically supports the medical and scientific objectives of the program. Key aspects of this role include engaging in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals that translate into meaningful insight, participating in health economic discussions with health care decision makers, and serving as a therapeutic expert within US public and private health care entities. Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers. Communicate clinical and scientific data to KOLs and healthcare professionals through presentations, educational programs, and scientific discussions. Serve as the primary resource for addressing unsolicited medical questions and other scientific exchange matters. Identify, gather, and document field-generated scientific insights to drive innovative Medical Affairs strategies while complying with industry and corporate policies. Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature. Collaborate with field‑based Medical and Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities. Leverage knowledge of standards of care and company/investigator‑sponsored clinical trials and competitor landscape to facilitate external‑internal research communication. Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries of Health Care Providers, investigators, health care systems, academic medical centers, and treatment team members, integrating scientific data including real‑world evidence into clinical practice. Deliver scientific presentations to formulary committees and other key healthcare decision makers, communicating health economic models and supporting clinical data, and serve as the primary field‑based resource to address questions related to these insights. Demonstrate strong expertise in health economic model design and effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear, accessible manner to diverse audiences. Maintain deep knowledge of cost‑effectiveness and budget impact models to support informed decision‑making and value discussions. Requirements MD, PhD, PharmD, PA, NP, or equivalent degree highly preferred. 2+ years of industry experience as a Medical Science Liaison required. Clinical or related practical experience in GI/Liver preferred. Strong scientific & clinical acumen. Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data and realize its impact on clinical practice and research needs. Experience in Managed Care/PBM, HEOR activities, or strong knowledge of P&T committee processes. Ability to travel up to 60%, including overnights and weekends; possession of a valid driver’s license required. The annual base salary for this position ranges from $200,000–$220,000.
