Sam's Club #8269 2325 W Hwy I 20, Grand Prairie, TX 75052-3927 Position Summary As a Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates who create and serve meals to our members — giving them more of what they love, for less. What You'll Do Supervise the prepared foods team, facilitating rotations through different fresh areas and managing member needs to deliver on the business plan. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, ensuring the area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance. Manage seasonality in production, understand new products, recipes, processes, and production specifications. Collaborate with associates and third parties, ensuring the team has resources to do their job effectively, sharing knowledge and training the team. Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and meeting audit and compliance standards. Teach and train the team, identify training needs, provide and develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent. Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs, analyze information, monitor progress, and identify improvement opportunities. Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Model respect, integrity, and a customer‑first mindset, supporting the company's regenerative goals and cultural values. Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience in a fresh production department or 6 months supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications Food Handler Certification (Food Safety). Experience supervising a team. Compensation Hourly wage range: $21.00 to $29.00 (actual rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage for the location). Additional compensation in the form of premiums may range from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances. Benefits Health benefits: medical, vision, dental coverage.
