Senior AML Associate

Responsibilities Conduct AML-related investigations and reviews including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), wire transfer reviews, and other ad hoc compliance investigations Compile, analyze, and distribute AML metrics and management reporting to support senior leadership decision-making Manage sanctions (OFAC), Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), and adverse media screening alerts, including review, disposition, and escalation of findings as appropriate Maintain and update internal watchlists of high-risk individuals, entities, and jurisdictions Support optimization of AML analytics and screening systems by identifying trends, anomalies, and process improvement opportunities Assist with preparation for internal audits, independent testing, and regulatory examinations, including data gathering, reporting, sample file collection, and management response support Support the ongoing review and maintenance of AML policies and procedures Administer compliance and AML systems, databases, and related operational tools Conduct operational and administrative reviews including file maintenance, data validation, and documentation gathering Identify process gaps and recommend operational enhancements to strengthen compliance controls and mitigate risk Participate in special projects including system implementations, compliance initiatives, and audit remediation efforts Provide support for day-to-day compliance activities and ad hoc requests as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Data Analytics, or related field 3+years of AML, Compliance, or Risk Management experience within a financial institution, preferably within a Broker-Dealer or RIA environment Strong understanding of BSA/AML regulations, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC sanctions requirements Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify trends, assess risk, and produce meaningful reporting Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with reporting or analytics tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Ascendo Resources
