Inside The RoleLeads and manages plant-level quality systems, processes, and teams to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements. Drives continuous improvement in product quality, manufacturing processes, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction through data-driven decision-making, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Ensures alignment of quality strategy with operational objectives, including reduction of defects, warranty claims, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).What You Drive At DTNALead and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirementsSupervise and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and techniciansDecision maker for daily production activities guided by policies and proceduresCoordinates resources and set daily priorities to meet business objectivesManage internal and external auditsOversee manufacturing quality processes including SPC, inspection strategies, and quality gatesDrive root cause analysis using 8D, A3, and DMAIC methodologiesReduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and improve First Pass Yield (FPY)Interface with customers on quality concerns and corrective actionsAnalyze warranty and field failure data to drive improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issuesDrive continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiativesLead cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality issuesAllocate resources and set priorities aligned with production goalsDevelop team capabilities through coaching and performance management, and provide ongoing performance feedback and guidance to direct reportsPromote a culture of quality and continuous improvementKnowledge You Should BringBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field required5–7 years of progressive manufacturing quality experience2 years of Team Lead, Project Leadership or Supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001Experience in manufacturing quality within automotive or heavy-duty industriesKnowledge of or ability to apply Lean/Continuous improvement tools and principlesProficiency in root cause analysis methodologies (8D, A3, 5 Whys, etc.)Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, SPC, and MSAAbility to analyze and interpret quality dataExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsExceptional Candidates Might HaveExperience with heavy duty truck and powertrain development and/or manufacturingStrong leadership experience in a shop floor environmentSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certificationExperience with Power BI, SPC software, or similar toolsKnowledge of warranty systems and field failure analysisExperience with OEM customer requirements and APQP processesWhere We WorkThis position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s):Tooele, UT US.
