Marketing Coordinator

Marketing Coordinator Overview The Kauaʻi Humane Society seeks a Marketing Coordinator to execute the organization’s marketing strategy through creative storytelling and engaging content. The Coordinator will capture the organization’s animals, programs, and mission in a compelling way and is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, and WordPress to create digital content and keep the KHS website up to date. Handling dogs and cats of all sizes is one of the biggest perks of the job as you’ll play an important role in helping them find loving homes. Marketing Coordinator Qualifications High school graduate or GED equivalent required Post‑secondary education focused in marketing and/or communications strongly preferred Understanding of photography and videography Knowledge of image and video editing programs Strong computer/technology skills Strong writing skills Valid Hawaii Driver’s license, or valid out‑of‑state license, with a clear driving record for at least one year prior to application Marketing Coordinator Responsibilities Work closely with the Communications Coordinator to tell the KHS story in a compelling way and empower others to share it Work collaboratively with the Director of Development to promote fundraising initiatives Create graphics, photographs, and videos to be shared on digital platforms and print Create graphics and content for in‑person and online fundraising events promoted on the KHS website, social media channels, digital ads, and email platform Uphold the KHS brand identity to ensure cohesive marketing efforts and expand brand awareness beyond Kauaʻi Manage the KHS website via WordPress and occasionally Squarespace for appointment bookings, ensuring information is accurate and up to date Oversee radio promotional opportunities (writing radio ads) Oversee the design and publishing of KHS’s marketing ads to help promote the organization and specific services and programs Track and analyze marketing results Attend off‑site events (adoption, volunteer, development) to gather content for social media, development, and marketing collateral Utilize Blackbaud, a donor management and non‑profit marketing tool, for online fundraising and development (training provided) Identify potential influencers and supporters of the organization Actively educate self on the latest trends in online marketing, paid advertising, and nonprofit technology Assist writing animal bios and taking animal photos as volunteer and/or staff availability fluctuates Complete other duties as assigned Job Type: Full‑time (Part‑time negotiable) Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Continuing education credits Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person (Hybrid negotiable) #J-18808-Ljbffr Kauai Humane Society
