Monday to Friday 4/10 hour shifts 0700-1730 $12,500 Sign-on Bonus

Since 1937 Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton Illinois and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services including surgery services medical imaging interventional and diagnostic heart services cancer care rehabilitation 24-hour emergency care ambulance services and more.

The Operating Room is made up of 7 General rooms one Cysto room and one Minor procedure room. Staffed from 0700 till 1700 Monday-Friday with all other hours and days covered with a Call Crew.

Role Purpose

Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

Prepares operating room for surgical patient reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure ensures cleanliness of room and assists with opening sterile supplies. Performs surgical scrub duties and assists with the collection identification and disposition of cultures and specimens. Assists in turning over of room and ensures supplies instruments and equipment are returned to proper location.

Minimum Requirements

Education High School Diploma or GED Experience 2 years or military equivalent experience Supervisor Experience No Experience
