Maintenance Technician I

JOB PURPOSE: Performs electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment, along with facility repair and maintenance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Requires physical activity with the majority of time spent walking/moving around Xeridiem facility performing various manual projects and using machinery. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. When on manufacturing floor, protective clothing is necessary. Position requires flexible hours and ability to work around chemicals.
- Performs preventive maintenance on all scheduled equipment and facility
- Upholds Xeridiem vision and core values
- Performs other duties as required
- High School diploma or its equivalent and minimum of 2 years experience in a related area
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within field
- Ability to problem solve identify errors and deficiencies and perform research with general guidance
- Ability to apply knowledge to their job function using pre-established guidelines and instructions
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness
- Proficient communications skills
- Ability to comprehend and comply with company safety and quality standards
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Responsible for understanding and complying with all SPG and Dupont safety policies and procedures
- Certificate of formal training in the field of maintenance or machinist
- Manufacturing background
