Job Description

The Quality Inspector will conduct inspections to determine the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. The Quality Inspector will ensure that all products meet customer and company requirements by performing in-process inspection, final inspection, and First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs inspection tasks involving the use of a wide variety of test instruments and equipment to measure values and record data of the components.
• Identifying non-conforming product and resolving them by determining root cause
• Daily communication with the Quality Team
• Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations.
• Implement and improve quality control operating procedures.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and defects.
• Participate in routine visual inspections.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

 

PROCEDURES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Quality control working with AS9100, ISO9001 and Nadcap.
• Use of Coordinate Measuring Machines
• Blueprint reading
• Hand tool use (caliper, micrometer, thread gages, pin gages, height gage, optical comparator)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PERIPHERAL DUTIES

1.     Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.  

2.     Assists in formulating a strategic plan.

3.     Perform other duties as assigned.

 

WORKING HOURS

Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.  Overtime may be required on an as needed basis.

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirement:

The minimum qualifications and experience demonstrated and/or achieved which are qualifying for Quality

Inspector.

·         High School Diploma or GED.

·         Effective verbal and written communication skills. 

·         Proficient in MS Office

·         Blueprint reading

·         Proficiency with manual measurement instruments.
