Description

American Traveler is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist for a night shift long-term assignment requiring NRP and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Care unit providing NICU-level respiratory care
• Responsible for transport of infants to/from referral health systems
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• On-call requirements apply

Requirements

• Current Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable through the North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care and Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Additional Information

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory treatments and physician-ordered interventions
• Provides patient and family education and support tailored to individual needs
• Documents patient assessments, condition changes, and treatments in the EMR according to standard procedures
• Disassembles, cleans, and maintains respiratory equipment, tagging items needing repair or preventative maintenance
• Processes patient charges and verifies related reports as needed
• Delivers high-quality critical care in accordance with established patient care guidelines
• Performs additional duties as needed to support departmental and organizational needs
