Job Posting: Special Education Teacher – Autism (AU) / Multi‑Categorical
Position: Full-TimeLocation: Martinsburg, WV We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve students in Autism (AU) and Multi‑Categorical programs at the middle school level for our school site in Martinsburg, WV . The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, foster inclusion, and collaborate with families and staff to support student success. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and functional skills
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Create a structured, supportive, and positive classroom environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid West Virginia teaching certification in Special Education (required)---(AU/Multi‑Categorical endorsement preferred)
- Experience working with students with autism and multiple disabilities
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
