Physician - Pathologist

Job Title: Pathologist Location: Du Bois, Pennsylvania Schedule: 6:00AM - 6:00AM x 1 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate : $169 - $182/hr Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Pathologist for a temporary assignment in Du Bois, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend. Responsibilities for a Pathologist: Provide Anatomic/Clinical Pathology coverage as an MD/DO specialist Cover scheduled weeks in November and December per assigned schedule Perform pathology services including GI, fluids, lymphoma, GYN (Anatomic), breast, and lung cases Conduct Frozen Sections as required Collaborate with pathology assistant who performs grossing duties Work with histotech and radiology/endoscopy teams who perform FNAs Utilize in-house Immunohistochemistry services as part of diagnostic workflow Document and dictate using Cerner EMR and Voicebrook Dictation System Manage an approximate volume of 18,000 surgical cases per year and 4,000 cytology cases per year Provide care for adult patient population Maintain Board Certification in Pathology (or true Board Eligibility) Hold a valid State of Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC accepted) Meet minimum 1-2 years of experience with fellowship training required Participate in up to two phone interviews with Medical Director and/or Pathology Team Complete a virtual slide review with Medical Director and/or Pathologists Submit CV in month/year format covering full education and work history Provide explanation for any gaps in employment or training of 30 days or more Disclose any background issues including malpractice settlements with required documentation Benefits for a Pathologist: Weekly pay every Friday Comprehensive Professional Malpractice Insurance 24/7 Recruitment Support Full-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel Team Referral Bonus up to $5,000 Astrya Global Medical Staffing offers 10+ years of staffing experience, 100% domestic support, and is certified by both the Joint Commission and National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations.
