Medical Record Retrieval Specialist

Virtual Vocations Inc

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Medical Record Retrieval Specialist will collect, review, and manage medical records to support clinical reviews, quality programs, and regulatory audits while ensuring compliance with audit and privacy requirements. Key Responsibilities Request and retrieve medical records from various sources, ensuring adherence to established timelines and protocols Review records for completeness and validate them against audit requirements, coordinating follow-ups with providers as necessary Upload, index, and organize records in designated systems while tracking retrieval status and maintaining audit-ready documentation Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experience 2 years of experience in medical record retrieval, healthcare operations, clinical support, or a related field Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
